THE JOY SPIRAL

A transformational program for women, non-binary and femme-identifying folk held over 4 × 4 hour workshops based on the principles of The Story Shaman Way - Curiosity, Creativity, Courage, and Compassion.

Dancing with the Shadows + Connecting with Your Joy

In this session we’ll play with the Story Shaman theme of CURIOSITY. We’ll use dance, movement, meditation, collective art, and guided exploration to dance with the shadows holding us back and explore the gifts they’re hiding. In the second half of the session, we’ll use this to get curious about where our joy lives, where in our body it resides, and name and connect with it.

Playing with Our Medicine + Collaboration Incubator

In our second session, we’ll focus on the theme of CREATIVITY. We’ll use art, guided activities and visualisation to begin to name and explore the medicine beneath our joy, and how it can turn up for us in our lives. In the second half of the workshop, we’ll work together on a collective artwork and play with the the question, what happens when we join our medicine together? What could we create if we combine our joy?

How we turn up for ourselves + each other

In the third session, we’ll play with the theme of COURAGE and explore how it turns up for us in our lives, and how we can begin to bring our medicine and vision into the world. We’ll explore how courage turns up in our bodies, play with what it feels like to be the version of ourselves that we dream of, and experiment with what turning up for ourselves and each other courageously looks like.

Holding ourselves with compassion + celebrating growth

In this last session of The Joy Spiral, we’ll dive into the most important theme of all, COMPASSION. We’ll witness each other’s growth and evolution over the journey of the past six weeks, share our challenges and wins, and meditate deeply on the question: what does it look like when I lead with compassion? We’ll finish our session and transformational journey with a facilitated celebration of everything we’ve done and experienced.

The cost is $320 for the full program.

This is the first time I’m running this program, so it will be experimental and fresh.

The cost has been kept purposefully low to cover expenses only in return for your full and brave participation, and for your honest feedback and help to shape it for future rounds.

An open mind, curiosity, and willingness to jump in and play will also be necessary!

This program is open to women (cis and trans) and to femme-identifying and non-binary folk.

At this stage it is not open to men as it is a specially curated space and specifically designed, but future programs may be extended to a wider audience.

That would be me. My name is Vasiliki (Vicki) and I’m the founder and creative director of The Story Shaman. I’m a storyteller, creative guide, and circle holder who weaves myth, story, strategy, improvisation, spirituality and ritual to help big hearted people reconnect with their joy, reclaim their medicine, and take action with courage.

I have over 30 years’ experience in communications, improvisation, spiritual practice and facilitation. I’m committed to creating circles that are deeply held and joyfully alive... where curiosity is welcomed, creativity is unleashed, and community is a living, breathing force for good.
